Dehumanizacja Obcego. Rola sztuki popularnej w uświadamianiu problemu na przykładzie Men Against Fire (2016)

Dehumanization is – in the broadest sense process of depriving a person positive human qualities. This problem, considered mainly field social psychology, has strong pedagogical significance. The article aimed to show potential importance popular art for intercultural education, precisely: role that can play raising awareness problem posed by dehumanization Other. To achieve intended goal, author indicates justified presence introduces concept Other, i.e. who beyond horizon given person’s experience, outside community or cognitively dangerous, and outlines issue dehumanization. exemplification was conducted on example episode British science fiction series Black Mirror Men Against Fire (2016). considerations are carried out from perspective contemporary aesthetic which refers conceptually Polish theory education. Humanistically oriented, education must be vein pluralism interculturalism; it should also contribute development holistic personality: their sensitivity moral orientation, ability critical thinking creativity.
